ITC to probe TCL smart TV imports over patent claims

By Grace Dixon (February 1, 2022, 6:47 PM EST) – The U.S. International Trade Commission has voted to launch an investigation into TCL Technology’s imports of certain video processing devices used in “smart” TVs after DivX LLC has accused the TV maker of infringing on its intellectual property.

The ITC on Monday agreed to consider claims filed by the video technology company under a section of the 1930 Tariff Act that prohibits the importation of goods that infringe US patents.
