Navigating Parallel Trade Challenges and Legal Landscapes
SMi presents its 16th Annual Parallel Trade Conference on March 21-22, 2022. As the only parallel trade conference in Europe, this event provides the perfect platform for industry experts from both sides of the medal get together and share their points of view on the practice of parallel trade.
The 2022 event will be more important than ever due to the transition period after the end of Brexit. As such, the UK will no longer be part of the EU’s free market. This will result in higher drug prices, reduced access to certain specialty drugs and an increased risk of shortages in the supply chain. In a post-Brexit environment, exhaustion of rights will cease to apply in the UK, making importing and exporting a costly business and, in the worst case, could effectively kill off parallel distribution.
This conference will bring together industry experts to discuss industry challenges and drivers, including the EU regulatory landscape and the impact of Brexit and the pandemic together. The conference will also provide global information on parallel trade and reflect on key takeaways for other Member States.
