Converse recognizes the need for assistance for students across South Africa and has decided to expand and increase the campaign and its commitment to give more students a chance to get rid of their debts. The campaign has been extended for another two weeks and will end on March 14, 2021.
The goal of the #KickTheDebt campaign is to try to alleviate even a small part of the outcome of the generational economic depression. Converse recognizes and understands the need to support South African youth and the campaign aims to make a difference as education is prohibitively expensive and as a result student debt is insanely high. The issue of student debt is a major problem facing young South Africans, with a growing need to erase it.
Converse has made it easier for students to access the entry level by using digital platforms. To combat these barriers, applicants can enter and access the #KickTheDebt nomination form on the Converse e-commerce website, www.converse.co.za, where friends and family can also motivate funds. At the end of the nomination phase, Converse, influencers and a panel of independent judges will review the nominations and select the final beneficiaries.
